Anatomical Models

Types of Anatomical Models

There are many different types of anatomical models out there. How do you understand, which one to purchase?

All of the offered models are ideal for educational purposes. A full human skeleton is an essential educational material for any medical school. Some skeleton models have additional features: ligaments, muscles, joint system. These models are perfect for demonstrations. For example, let’s look at the skeleton with an added joint system. With this model, it is easy to show how limbs rotate, move and stretch.

On the other hand, anatomically detailed models focus on specific areas of the human body. That allows us to take a closer look at some body parts, systems or health conditions. Such models are useful for doctors, who have to explain something to their patients. The patient will feel more comfortable, knowing what exactly is happening to their body. Like a model showing osteoporosis - visually explaining the condition and comparing a healthy vertebra with an osteoporotic one. Or a model of an ear - a great way to study the anatomy of the human ear in detail.

In addition, many anatomical models have detachable parts. A model of a human muscle torso, for example. It shows not only muscles but also internal organs and their position. It has about 30 parts that you can remove and examine up close. This provides a better understanding of the internal system of the body and allows students to interact with the educational material. Painted details of some models simplify the learning process even more.
